Dis is Late I Guess

This week in IT I worked on late work that I had due, as well as a big database project. I also started learning Ruby on my own time in IT.

In IT related news, the new model of the Dell XPS 15 was released this week. It features an upgraded graphics card, along with the new 7th generation Kaby Lake processor series from Intel. There are also rumors about the new IPhone 8, which could get rid of the Touch ID feature completely. The rumors state that Apple could be moving towards a two-factor fingerprint and facial recognition feature. Finally, we learned more about AMD's new Zen architecture, which will be marketed as RYZEN for desktops and mobile devices.

Since I missed the programming blog last week, I might as well throw a batch in here. This week saw an adventure into the world of Ruby. In my experience with coding, Ruby is one of the most simplistic languages I have seen. The language is very close to actual English, with most of the functions being relatively self-explanatory in their function. The basics are similar to Java, with a few more useful features thrown in, like the UNTIL loop, a feature that would be greatly welcomed in Java.

That should be about it for this week.
